"The specialty"
female only off-piste ski trip
March 2026 in Saalbach-Hinterglemm, Austria
Only for advanced skiers
You ask and we deliver, many of you would LOVE to learn more about freeriding, but had no idea how, so finally, in March, we’ll end the season with a bang: an off-piste adventure in Saalbach-Hinterglemm, Austria! A week where we will dive full into, not only the powder, but also all the theory behind freeride ski technique, avalanche safety, touring management and everything you need to know to feel well equipped outside the slopes. This trip is only for experienced and advanced skiers.
For who?
This trip is designed for experienced and advanced skiers only, but you don’t need to have off-piste experience yet. We’ll have two groups: one for strong on-slope skiers who are new to off-piste skiing, and one for those who already have some off-piste experience.

Advanced On-Piste Group
(max 7 spots)
You’re an experienced skier who feels confident on all types of slopes. You already know how to carve and execute short turns, but have little or no off-piste experience with avalanche gear, ski touring, or freeriding. Your goals are to get familiar with avalanche gear, learn basic rescue techniques, and make your first powder runs with the right technique. This group is perfect for taking your first steps toward skiing the backcountry independently.

Off-Piste Experienced Group
(max 7 spots)
You already have off-piste experience and feel pretty comfortable with the equipment and terrain beyond the slopes. Your focus is on advancing your skills in more challenging terrain and deepening your knowledge. Goals include refreshing rescue techniques, regaining confidence with avalanche gear, practicing complex scenarios and rescue drills, skiing steeper terrain while improving line choice and maybe even jumps, and making independent route decisions with a focus on risk management. Overall, this group is about increasing confidence and autonomy in the backcountry.
This isn’t about skiing the fastest, jumping the highest, or competing.
It’s about having fun, being unapologetically yourself, pushing boundaries at your own pace, and sharing the mountain with powerful, like-minded women.

The Location
Saalbach-Hinterglemm, Austria
The location of our fifth skisisters trip will be the enormous Saalbach-Hinterglemm ski area — part of the famous Skicircus Saalbach-Hinterglemm-Leogang-Fieberbrunn, one of Austria’s largest and most diverse ski regions. The village of Fieberbrunn is known as the freeride capital of Austria, and every March it hosts the Freeride World Tour, where the world’s best riders take on the legendary Wildseeloder face. The region also offers incredible off-piste routes, powder fields, and ski-touring possibilities — all surrounded by stunning mountain views and a true alpine atmosphere. For us, it’s the ultimate spot to end the season — combining technical progression, safety training, and pure powder fun in one unforgettable adventure.
Now, fingers crossed for some good powder snow this year!
The Lodge
Das Spielberghaus (ski in - ski out)
We’ll be staying at Das Spielberghaus, a cozy mountain hut accessible only by ski tour or the lodge’s arranged transport, giving us a truly exclusive location. Dietary preferences are taken into account, and you’ll share a room with one or two other girls from the group. It’s the ideal place to tune out for a week, connect with eachother, and fully dive into our skisisters off-piste adventure.
The Program
Ski and much more
On Monday afternoon, you’ll arrive at Das Spielberghaus. We’ll start the week easy — with time to settle in, unpack, and get to know everyone while unwinding from your journey.
From Tuesday to Friday, we’ll enjoy four full ski days guided by Anna and Sabine, both fully certified off-piste guides with loads of experience. Each day, our guides will lead a tailored program for each group, combining skiing, avalanche safety exercises, and backcountry techniques — all with plenty of space for personal feedback.
One evening will be dedicated to theory, and every night we’ll hold a short briefing to prepare for the next day. In addition, fun evening activities (both indoors and outdoors) are planned to relax, recharge, and connect with the other girls.
On Friday morning, after breakfast, we’ll say goodbye and check out from Das Spielberghaus — with hearts full and legs happily tired.
Our goal is to create a warm and encouraging atmosphere where you can comfortably be yourself, try new things, and have a great time. We’re dedicated to offering a weekend filled with fun and support, with plenty of opportunities to take small steps out of your comfort zone. It’s a wonderful chance to meet new friends, make lasting memories, and enjoy every moment together 🤍
Essential to know
This trip is exclusively for girls — because there's something truly special about skiing with other girls, and we want you to experience that!
This trip is open to 14 girls in total. We’ll split into two groups of 7, based on skill level. It’s important to make sure you book yourself into the right group, as there’s a maximum of 8 girls per group — which means last-minute level changes are very difficult.
Our two levels:
- Advanced On-Piste Group (max 7 spots): You’re an experienced skier who feels confident on all types of slopes. No ski touring equipment needed.
- Off-Piste Experienced Group (max 7 spots): You already have off-piste experience and feel pretty comfortable with the equipment and terrain beyond the slopes. Please bring ski touring equipment as well!
Check-in will be on Sunday, March 1st in the afternoon. We’ll welcome you, and you’ll have the chance to meet the other girls.
The trip ends on Friday, March 6th after breakfast.
You’ll stay in shared 2 (or 3) - person rooms, together with one of two of the other girls joining the trip. If you’re coming with a friend, please let us know in advance so we can arrange for you to share a room.
Please bring your own ski gear (freeride/touring skis, boots, helmet, poles, backpack). If you don’t have your own gear, we’re happy to help with rentals. If you have avalanche gear, please make sure to bring this. If not, please let us know and we will arrange this for you.
All photos and videos taken during the trip will be sent to you afterward.
We’ll provide a packing list and additional information before the trip.
The spoken language during the trip will be English.
We’re here to make sure you have an amazing time and feel fully supported throughout the trip! If you have any questions or need assistance, just let us know.
